About NT Hackers

We're a group of Master of IT (AI) students at Charles Darwin University who collaborate on hackathons and AI projects. We believe in learning fast, building real solutions, and making an impact.

Our Story

NT Hackers started as a vision among first-year Master of IT (AI) students at Charles Darwin University: to join hackathons, learn fast, and build useful AI tools that matter.

In 2025, we achieved our first major milestone by winning the RIMPA Global Hackathon with GreenLedger AI, a platform that helps organisations track and reduce their digital carbon footprint. This $10,000 prize win validated our approach: speed, collaboration, and a focus on real-world impact.

Today, NT Hackers is growing into a recognised innovator in the Northern Territory's tech ecosystem, attracting collaborators, sponsors, and mentors who share our passion for AI and sustainable problem-solving.

Our Mission

To turn the Northern Territory into a hotspot for AI innovation by building real solutions, one hackathon at a time.

Our Values

Learn in Public

We share knowledge, document our process, and help others learn alongside us.

Build Fast, Improve Often

Speed and iteration beat perfection. We ship, learn, and refine rapidly.

Ethical & Responsible AI

We build AI for good, considering impact and responsibility above shortcuts.

Collaboration Over Competition

We win together, support each other, and lift others as we grow.
